I am Marios Yiangou, a professional table tennis player, coach, and 14-time national champion of Cyprus. My journey in table tennis began at an early age, inspired by my father, who was himself a table tennis champion. Watching him play and witnessing his passion for the sport ignited a spark in me, and it wasn’t long before table tennis became my lifelong pursuit.

Since then, I have dedicated myself to mastering the sport. Over the years, I have competed at the highest levels, proudly representing Cyprus on the international stage. I’ve been a member of the Cyprus National Team since 2003, an honor that has allowed me to compete and grow as an athlete. My professional career spans over a decade, including 11 years in the Greek League (2009–2020) and my current position in the highly competitive German Bundesliga since 2020.

In addition to my achievements on the table, I hold an MSc in Sport Pedagogy, which equips me with the academic foundation to complement my athletic experience. This combination of education and expertise enables me to approach coaching with a holistic perspective, focusing on both the physical and mental aspects of player development.

Beyond my personal achievements, I am passionate about giving back to the sport and inspiring the next generation. I am committed to growing table tennis in my home country, Cyprus, by sharing my knowledge and working with young players, clubs, and teams. My goal is to elevate the sport’s profile and nurture the next wave of champions.
